|Here the Cheshire Cat says the legendary "We are all mad here".
Oletteko lukeneet noita kirjoja? :)
“Mad Hatter: “Why is a raven like a writing-desk?”
“Have you guessed the riddle yet?” the Hatter said, turning to Alice again.
“No, I give it up,” Alice replied: “What’s the answer?”
“I haven’t the slightest idea,” said the Hatter”
― Lewis Caroll, Alice in Wonderland
“Have I gone mad? I'm afraid so, but let me tell you something, the best people usualy are.”
―Lewis Caroll, Alice in Wonderland
I found my old Alice in Wonderland book from my childhood home. I love that story and the movies! It's so imaginary and weird, just my kind of thing! I have to read this book again, and I want to read the sequel too. I have this first book written in Italian in my bookshelf, but I would like to read it in English since it's the original language. It's really good for your language skills to read books in foreign language, especially some language that you are just learning or want to improve. Then it's good to read children's books, because the language there is very simple. When I was living in Italy I started reading children's picture books and when my language skills got better, I read children's stories and after that women magazines etc. Reading is a nice way to learn, I prefer reading than just trying to study the grammar and vocabularly book.
My favourite characters are Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat. I've never liked much Alice, but I usually don't become attached to main characters anyway. I think Alice is quite stupid and naive. Who really drinks from random bottle where is written "drink me?". And eats mushrooms that are given by a random catepillar who is smoking something weird stuff. :D
Are you a fan of this story? Have you read the books?
